Global Compact

In September 2010 Bank Hapoalim joined the United Nations' "Global Compact" initiative. This initiative is based on a cross-national partnership between business organizations and the United Nations, in order to advance and develop markets, trade, technology and the economy for the communities and future generations across the globe.
Joining this initiative serves as a declaration of commitment to advance and implement the Ten Universal Principals on the United Nation in the fields of human rights, Labor, Environment and Corruption prevention. By taking this commitment to act upon these values, Bank Hapoalim, as a global organization, joined thousands of advanced business organizations, active in over 130 countries world-wide.
The bank plans to continue intensifying activities in its Sustainability and CSR program at all levels, while keeping up with the progress made in the domain, around the world.
The bank's first COP (Communication of Progress) regarding the bank's actions according the Global Compact principles is included in the 2015 Sustainability Report (please see pp. 228-234).-
